Better for our babies, better for our planet.
Eco Baby Expo is all about the natural, organic, unprocessed lifestyle. We wanted to take a moment to showcase those who are raising their children to be responsible and eco-friendly, those who put their family’s health first, those who make an impact on our children’s future, and those who live a healthy lifestyle that may inspire others.
By sharing their stories, we hope to bring inspiration to our like-minded followers. We hope you can share in the joy of motherhood, fatherhood, and the joys that growing up green can bring! #GrowingUpGreen

Proud mommy to three “Coconut Farmers” & Local Business Owner of Coco Bros, a raw bottled coconut water company.
My name is Maggie Viola and I am the Coco Mom of the #CocoBrosTribe! My 3 children Aiden, 13, Mason 13, and Viola Jane 5, started our company named Coco Bros 1 year ago in Hollywood, FL. We produce Florida farm fresh, raw bottled coconut water sourced directly from our 400 acre farm in Homestead, FL. We also do pop-up fresh coconut stands at various events in our area and provide an opportunity for children and their families to have their own Coco Bros stands, through our “CB business in a box” program, where we set them up for entrepreneurial success, provide in them a stand, coconuts from our farm and the opportunity to make money while selling a great for you product, spending quality family time together!
We have banned Gatorade & other bad-for-you sports drinks from our household! Coco Bros came about magically from a trip we took to the Dominican Republic. I had been trying to get my twins sons Aiden and Mason, who play every sport under the sun, to drink coconut water instead of Gatorade, knowing the horrible chemicals in these sports drinks would eventually affect their health. They hated the taste of coconut water so this was a constant battle in our household. I wanted them to get all the electrolytes, potassium and other nutrients they needed for recovery but was so frustrated that they gravitated to Gatorade. Here the boys were playing all these sports, being so healthy and active, while at the same time poisoning their bodies with this colored crapola! It was making me sick! Well my wish came true and so back to the Dominican Republic trip – and to make a long story short, they tried a fresh coconut, straight from the tree for the first time and fell in love with this nectar of the Gods! They said to me with excitement for their new found love, ” This is amazing!! But why doesn’t this taste like that gross plasticy tasting coconut water you gave us in the box?” I explained that the fresh coconut water they were drinking from the coco itself was raw and the other stuff from the box was not, that the other stuff had additives and or was pasteurized or treated in someway. They were amazed with delight and became obsessed with fresh coconuts, realizing it was a resource we had plenty of back home. Now, coconut water flows freely in our household and the homes of many of my sons friends, who like them now see the value in replenishing their bodies with a fresh, great for you natural raw drink vs. that other crap they had been programmed to believe was good for them.
I am so grateful that this revelation came from them… the Coco Bros decided and found out for themselves what was best for them… I am just a guiding force beside them to help make it happen 🙂
I’m not sure there are any “challenges” per say. We really live a life that is routed in love and acceptance, seeing the gift in everything. Being green and making good for you choices is empowering for our family and we really pride ourselves on being influential in our community. Keeping the coconut water cold is really the only “challenge” if I had to pick one 🙂 We are now looking into cold shipping methods to get our product to the many people who want it outside of our local market. A great problem to solve!
With more time, we would travel to other areas, schools etc. to speak about the importance of healthy food choices for children and families. We would as well discuss entrepreneurship and leading all endeavors with love and how when you do that- it leads you to fulfillment, freedom and prosperity.
It’s all rolled into one quite frankly. It’s fabulous because we absolutely love what we do, are so passionate about our mission and do not see Coco Bros as work at all… it is simply who we are. With that said, I believe we are balanced in that we extend the business to others who want in on what we are doing as well we are continuously on the journey to influence people to do what they are passionate about by being an example of that ourselves. We all get in on the fun and gravitate to parts of the business that we enjoy most. Mason is the money guy, he loves to price check, do cost analysis, figure out best locations and distribution points. Aiden is our Chief Farmer along with our partner Farmer Manny. Together they fertilize the trees, are out on the tractors and take care great care of the crop. Lil’ Miss Viola Jane is our mascot and our Chief Coco Cheerleader, she rocks the Coco Bros Stands at events with her face painting skills and initiating people with this fun exercise we have, into the Coco Bros Tribe. And me, well I’m the marketing gal, so I take care of all that fun stuff including the business management, promotion, packaging, etc.
Aiden, Mason and Viola Jane are very conscious of our responsibly here on earth to take care of ourselves and our planet. We reuse and repurpose a lot of our things to consume less. The kids choose bike riding, skateboarding and walking over driving almost anywhere we can. We are very conscious of electricity and water use in our household. We also use both sides of the drawing paper for arts & crafts time 🙂 I instill in my kids that every little bit counts and I am confident that this is how they live and think and I am proud to know 1st hand that they set a great example for their own friends and family in choosing this life-style.
Coconut Water of course! They also love our homemade delicious raw chocolate pudding I make from our coconut flesh. Their friends love it too and so we are currently working now to bring this Coco Bros Raw Pudding to the market for all to enjoy. If you want the recipe, we are happy to share! Just contact us at www.cocbros.org and we’ll send it to you!
Ps. They also love love love the “Happy Hippie” smoothie from Greenbar & Kitchen in Ft. Lauderdale!!
and don’t forget to hashtag #Nuts4TheCoco #CocoTribe #KidsCount
We have also started a Coco Bros Scholarship fund where a portion of all proceeds from sales go to gifting a child in need the entrepreneurial opportunity to have their own “Coco Bros Business in a Box” where we give them the tools & resources while mentoring them through becoming successful business owners!
